About VillaRosa Vacation Rentals

My travels to Puerto Rico began in 1998, with my then-11-year-old daughter. We toured the entire big island of Puerto Rico as well as the two smaller islands (Vieques and Culebra) by car and completely fell in love with the culture, the food and the beauty of ‘la isla del encanto’. I had entertained the idea of purchasing a property at that point, but it wasn’t until 2005, when chance brought me and my husband back to Puerto Rico, that I was finally able to fulfill my dream of having a beach house. In fact, I found my first dream property on the eastern side of the island, in a town called Luquillo, close to El Yunque and the port city of Fajardo.

As I developed what would become VillaRosa – Luquillo , I also began exploring Puerto Rico all over again. I remembered my visit with my daughter – that we had loved the areas near the Cordillera Central (the central mountain region) because it had seemed to us like a completely different world from the coastal cities of San Juan and Ponce. Things moved slower there, (except on the mountainous highways!), and the paths were less frequently traveled. But we were often rewarded by the majestic mountain forests, large tropical lakes and stunningly uncommon coastlines. So, I began looking on the northwest coast, and stumbled upon VillaRosa – Arecibo.
