We chose the perfect place to have a nice weekend! The place was very spacious and well equipped. The big screened in porch with all the fans made it very nice for entertaining family and friends. Property was clean and well groomed. The dock was very nice also with the big top deck you could sit there in the mornings and evenings just enjoying the view. Would definitly stay here again and have told all my friends.

Villa Rose Rentals – Cedar Creek Lake
We had just the best time at your lakehouse. It was very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the house was large enough for everyone to have some space. We brought our pontoon and tied up to the dock. We will certainly be coming back!!

Cedar Creek Lake at Myrtle-Rose’s Place
Very clean, spacious home. Nice view of the lake off the screened back porch.

Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Everything was furnished – just bring food. Myrtle-Rose was very easy to work with. Caught small catfish off of the dock – kids enjoyed the catch / release. The area was easy to get a boat in / out of.

We had a great time staying here. House was clean. And the price was right! 🙂 We cought TONS of fish off the dock at night! The fenced in backyard was perfect for our small children. We didnt have to worry about them getting to close to the water. 🙂

This villa has everything needed for a family vacation. Our group of 12 consisted of ages from 8-73 years. Our five grandchildren loved the pool area and beach. We had about 1 mile of what felt like private beach. Other than some surfers we had the beach entirely to ourselves. My wife and I got a 2 mile beach run/walk each day.

The children and some of the adults never left the ocean or pool.

The very large covered patio area (about 60 feet) with the view of the volley ball court, the dunes and the ocean was our home for most of our stay.

During our week, there was never a word from them about being bored. The property was very clean and provided us with essentials to make our stay comfortable.

Before arriving, I asked management to shop for use. This was accomplished without a problem. We had requested an arrival meal to be prepared for the group. Zulma was the chef in charge and we were delighted with her skill and knowledge. We used also Zulma for a large catered party and some additional dinners. She was a delight.

The owner of the property was fabulous in getting things coordinated for us. She set up a musician to sing and play local music and it was a big hit. We also ask for a magician to entertain and he was surprisingly safisticted hit. All went very well as planned.

The villa met or needs and management was very available. The property has everything needed. The owner of the property was fabulous in getting things coordinated for us.

We had a great time at Villarosa-Hallows beach. There was enough space for our group of 24. Tata, the house manager, was great to work with and very friendly. During our stay we had the pig roast on site which was quite the experience. We were lucky to stay at a time when the giant leatherback sea turtles were nesting and our group enjoyed our eco-experiences learning about these turtles from the local volunteer group Yo Amo El Tinglar. We even saw baby turtle hatchings coming out of their nests. Although the beach has some big waves, we felt save being in it. The best thing about this beach is that it is very quiet and private. Most of the days, our group was the only ones on the beach.

  • From Stormi B on VillaRosa - Hallows Beach

The house was beautiful and Tata took care of everything we needed! The night we arrived one of the a/c units wasn’t working but it was taken care of before we went to bed that evening. We took advantage of the shopping service so everything was ready for us when we arrived. The beach was amazing and we loved the community dog that showed up every day. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area!

  • From Pamela S on VillaRosa - Hallows Beach

Our group had a fantastic week at the house! We fit 24 (yes, 24!) people in the house. There is abundant living space; it really is more of a compound than a house. The house overlooks the gorgeous beach, and there was no one around for miles, so it felt like our own private paradise. If you’re looking for a relaxing get-away for a large group, this is your place!

This property has everything needed for a family vacation. Our group of 14 consisted of ages from 5-59 years. Our five grandchildren loved the pool area and beach. During our week, there was never a word from them about being bored. The games and the movie room were a hit with everyone in the evening. The property was very clean and provided us with essentials to make our stay comfortable. Before arriving, I would suggest a visit to the Pueblo Supermarket for basic items – dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, milk, cereal, coffee, etc. The owner of the property was fabulous in getting things coordinated for us. She set up a shuttle van from some family members to bring them out to the property, she arranged a pig roast meal, and also arranged for a local photographer to come and take pictures. All went very well as planned. The local property manager was very nice and always attentive. I couldn’t find the can opener, despite the fact that it was right there in the utensil drawer. I texted her and before I knew it, she arrived with a brand new electric can opener. We went to the cave just down the road and it was delightful. Louis was our guide and this is truly a great attraction. Just be attentive and listen to the guide because the area is beautiful but dangerous if you don’t keep a heads up. Salitres was a nice night out with good food. Coconut shrimp was very delicious. For this multigenerational group, we could have not been happier. If the sun and beach get too much, a trip to the lighthouse and the observatory are nice distractions.

    Great house, great people
We had a fantastic time at Villa Rosa Hallows Beach. Our four generation group of nine adults and three children had room enough to spare. All of the bedrooms were comfy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed for our stay. The outside area was definitely the most appreciated spot- we loved the sand volleyball court, and the covered patio was used a good portion of every day. One area that isn’t much mentioned in the listing is the large, partially covered balcony area on the third floor. The view from there is splendid. It has a day bed and a dining table and feels very secluded. We had our massages there! The very best part of the villa is its nearness to the ocean. You hear the waves and see the surf all day. It really is in your back yard!

The owner, Myrtle-Rose, was very easy to work with and very attentive to our needs. When we wanted a massage therapist to come to the house, she made that happen…when we asked for a manicurist, she set that up as well. She has assembled a wonderful group of people to care for the house and for her guests. Tata, the manager of the property, was available for anything we needed- she was just a text away to answer questions and give suggestions. We used Tiffany for housekeeping and I can’t say enough good things about this young lady. She was always exactly on time and very flexible. She did a great job with the cleaning and also helped out with some light cooking. Zulma acted as a tour guide for the grandmother of the group and made her feel very special. She took her to the rain forest one day and out to find sea shells another day. Each of these ladies speak excellent English.

We took advantage of the nearness of a Sam’s Club at the beginning of our stay and stocked up for the duration of the stay.

We visited the caves at Camuy and were awed by the place. The Indian Caves are very near the villa, and our visit there was another highlight of the trip. I would very highly recommend a visit there and suggest you use the guide offered. He made the trek around the caves and the cliffs very memorable.

I would highly recommend this villa for a family vacation- it is a lovely place!

Fabulous place for a family vacation
The home was everything we expected. There was plenty of room for the entire family. There were five children, one teenager and 16 adults. Everyone enjoyed every aspect of this house. The bonus was a volleyball pit. Some of us slept outside and totally enjoyed ourselves!

    Fabulous House and Setting
I’ve just returned from a fabulous week at VillaRosa with six of my best lady friends. The stunning house is located in Arecibo on a wide stretch of quiet palm tree-lined beach. The house is perfect for small or large groups as it has six bedrooms furnished with queen and full beds. A roof-top master suite with king bed includes a Caribbean style spa bath with 5 shower heads and hand-placed local stone walls. There is a completely outfitted large indoor kitchen as well as a full outdoor kitchen that overlooks the pool. The ample living room/dining area opens through French doors to a covered patio area large enough for meetings, parties and weddings. The house has lovely furnishings and ample space for a variety of activities. Guests are provided with everything from pool floats, beach towels, books, board games, children’s toys, to a media room with a full library of movies for every age and taste. Rosa, the owner, is delightful. She even ordered up perfect weather for our day and night beach walks. She told us where to go paddle boarding and suggested expeditions to Rio Camuy Cave Park and local waterfalls and directed us to the best place for lechon, or Puerto Rican roast pork. The house is just minutes from historic Arecibo which has ample restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores. There is a good restaurant, Salitre, a few minutes drive from the house. We were there on a Friday night when fine local quartet played and sang traditional songs. We ate locally caught fish on the patio overlooking the surf. Whether you’re planning a family reunion, a wedding, a corporate event, or just hanging with a group of best buddies, this lovely house will enhance Puerto Rican experience.

Perfect beach house for destination wedding
We came to Puerto Rico for my destination wedding. The house was perfect. There were 22 of us that went and there was plenty of room and plenty of activities to do around the house for everyone. We spent the majority of the time outside by the pool and bar area. With a view of the ocean, we just couldn’t resist. The caretaker was great! If we needed anything, she was there within minutes. The owner of the house was so helpful in getting everything ready for our stay/my big day, including getting a bamboo gazebo made that was absolutely gorgeous! The ladies that decorated the gazebo also helped us with the flowers for the bouquets and then later in the week, took my grandma to Old San Juan for some shopping and lunch. Everyone was just so nice! We went to Salitre for dinner, which had a lot of delicious seafood. The service was also outstanding. There is a cave (Cueva del Indio) right down the street that is just beautiful. The tour guides are super nice and you can’t beat the views. Thank you to everyone who helped make my wedding day the best day of my life!

    Wonderful property!
This house is even better than the pictures! We stayed there for a total of three days, for our intimate destination wedding and this property served as lodging, ceremony and reception venue. We had 19 people total; everyone got to sleep in a bed, didn’t have to fight over bathrooms and there was plenty of choices for downtime activities. The kitchen is better stocked with dishes and cookware than I could have ever imagined, media room has hundreds of movies to choose from and we were never short of towels, chairs, etc. The beach was about as private as it gets, I think we saw two people other than us on the beach the entire time we were there. The waves were definitely strong, not for easy bathing; there’s a reason surfers love the beach. I also can’t say enough wonderful things about Tata, the property manager who helped us out while we were there; she is a gem and was available to us whenever we needed her! We love her!

For a few pictures of the house, the beach, and the area around it, please visit the wedding photography blog of Brent Foster Photography to view our wedding (I would post a link, but Home Away’s rules won’t allow it)

    Paradise in Arecibo!
If your goal is to have a large group of friends and family have the time of their life look no further than the magnificent Villa Rosa! The trip starts with a wonderful drive along the nothern coast of Puerto Rico past many great vistas and little watering holes along the way. The excitement builds as you arrive at the finest house for miles. The house is very private and gated. The owner Myrtle-Rose does a wonderful job of setting your custom trip up perfectly to tailor your needs. We had a large group of 14 traveling from all over the country(US). Myrtle-Rose made sure Tata was there to meet us and give us the grand tour. Let the fun begin. The house is extraordinary in every aspect. The layout and decor is perfect and the rooms were plentiful so everyone had a place to sleep comfortably. The beach is unbelievable and for the most part its private because when you walk out to the ocean on the powdery sand steps away from the house you can’t see anyone around for miles except for some local veteran surfers carving up the impresssive pro break. I definitely recommend renting some boogie boards and Surfboards form the local surf shop down the road(Myrtle-Rose will set up for you) but I caution you need to have some experience because the wave action is awesome but tough. There is also a beach volleyball court and a great ping pong table out on the deck that got a tremendous amount of use. Villa Rosa offers many levels and decks where the views are breathtaking. We had our breakfast and lunches on all of the different decks and verandas to soak everything in. The kitchen is very condusive to great cooking. The Pueblo is right down the street and is very convenient to get all that you need. One of the highlights was the fantastic Pig Roast that the owner set up for us. What a great expereince that was. A group went fishing the morning of the pig roast with a local charter down the street and they snagged an easy 20 Mahi Mahi off shore so the feast that night was legendary with the pulled pork and local mahi mahi. There are also great local restaurants that will deliver if you don’t feel like cooking. The bar near the pool was where we spent most of our time BBQing and mixing margharitas. We had some musicians in our group and we actually recorded a few songs as Villa Rose proved to be the perfect muse! We are still talking about how great everything was and the big question is when can we all go back. Thanks Villa Rosa!
